Then they went in unto Raguel; and Raguel received them with joy.

And when Raguel saw Tobias, he said unto Edna his wife, How like is this young man to my kinsman!

After this speech, Raguel said unto them, Whence are ye, young brethren? And they said unto him, Of the tribe of Naphtali, of the captivity of Nineveh.

Then said Raguel unto them, Do ye know Tobit my brother? And they said, We know him.

Then when he had spoken much good of him, the angel said to Raguel, Tobit, of whom thou inquirest, is the father of this young man.

Then Raguel leaped up, and kissed him, and wept, and fell upon his neck.

And he said, A blessing be upon thee, my son, because thou art the son of an honest and good man.

And Edna his wife wept, and Sara their daughter also wept.

After they had talked, Raguel bade slay a ram, and prepare a feast; and he invited them to sit down to meat.

Then Tobias said, I will eat no meat here this day, nor drink, unless thou grant me what I ask, and promise to give me Sara thy daughter.

When Raguel heard these words, he trembled, knowing what had happened to the seven men who had gone in unto her, and he feared lest the same happen to this man. And while he pondered, and gave no answer,

The angel said unto him, Fear not to give her to this man; for it is meet for him to have her to wife, and therefore hath God kept her for him; and because he feareth God, for that cause could no other take her.

Then Raguel said, I doubt not but God hath accepted my prayers and my tears before him.

And perhaps for this cause hath God led you hither, that she should be married to her kinsman according to the law of Moses. And now doubt not, I will give her unto thee.

Then he took the right hand of his daughter Sara, and gave it into the right hand of Tobias, saying, The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, be with you, and join you together, and fulfil his blessing upon you.

Then they took a writing, and did write an instrument of matrimony.

And after this they did eat and bless God.

Then Raguel called Edna his wife, and bade her prepare another chamber.

And she brought her daughter Sara into it, weeping.

And she said unto her, Be of good comfort, my daughter; the Lord of heaven give thee joy for this thy sorrow which thou hast suffered.
