Whoso keepeth the law bringeth many offerings; and the tears of the widow stream down her cheeks: is it not a cry against him that caused them to flow?

He that taketh heed to the commandment offereth a peace offering.

He that departeth from iniquity sacrificeth a propitiatory sacrifice, and maketh atonement for his sins.

He that offereth fine flour giveth thanks; and he that giveth alms sacrificeth a praise offering.

To please the Lord is to depart from evil; and to make atonement for sins is to turn back from iniquity.

Come not before the Lord empty.

For all these things are done in obedience to the commandment.

The offering of the righteous maketh the altar fat, and the sweet savour thereof is before the Most High.

The sacrifice of a just man is acceptable, and the memorial thereof shall not be forgotten.

Glorify the Lord with a good eye, and diminish not the firstfruits of thine hands.

In every gift show a cheerful countenance, and sanctify thy tithes with gladness.

Give unto the Most High according as he hath given unto thee, and as of thine hand thou hast gotten, offer with a good eye.

For the Lord is one that recompenseth, and he will recompense thee sevenfold.

Present not corrupt gifts, for the Lord will not accept them.

And trust not in an unrighteous sacrifice, for the Lord is a Judge, and he will not be partial to persons.

He will not despise the prayer of the fatherless, nor the widow when she poureth out her complaint.

For from her cheeks it ascendeth to heaven, and the hearing Lord taketh no pleasure in it.

He that worshippeth according to his pleasure, his prayer reacheth unto the clouds.

The prayer of the humble pierceth the clouds; even till it come nigh, he will not be comforted; and will not depart till the Most High shall visit and judge righteously and execute judgment.

For the Lord will not be slack, neither will he patiently prolong his patience concerning them, until he hath broken the loins of the unmerciful.

And he will take vengeance on the nations; until he hath rooted out the multitude of the arrogant, and broken the scepters of the unrighteous.

Until he shall render to every man according to his deeds, and reward mankind according to their works, according to their intentions.

Until he shall execute judgment for his people, and relieve them by his mercy.

Mercy is beautiful in the time of affliction, as clouds of rain in the time of drought.
