O Lord, Father, and Governor of my life, leave me not to their counsels, and let me not fall by them; lest they forget them before them, and make thee of no reputation by their conversation, and thou wouldest have wished that thou hadst never been born of them, and should curse the day of thy birth.

Who shall set scourges over my thoughts, and the discipline of wisdom over my heart; that they spare me not in my ignorances, and that my sins pass not away without their notice? He that accuseth many, is not without sin; and he that hath no respect of persons, shall not be without sin. For there be two sorts of men that multiply sin, and the third bringeth wrath: A hot mind burning like fire, shall not be quenched till it be consumed, and he that is without a will to do good, shall not be without sin; a fornicator in the lust of his flesh, shall not cease till he hath kindled a fire. He knoweth not that the eyes of the Lord are ten thousand times brighter than the sun, beholding all the ways of men, and considering the most secret parts.

Lest my ignorances increase, and my sins abound, and I fall before mine adversaries, and my foe rejoice over me.

O Lord, Father, and God of my life, forsake me not, and the counsels of my lips.

Let not wantonness be in my thoughts, and let the desires of my eyes not lead me astray; and turn away from me my desires.

Detain not my stomach's lust, nor fornication, and give me not over to a shameless mind.

Hear, ye children, the discipline of the mouth: he that keepeth it shall not be taken in his lips.

The sinner is caught with his own lips, and the scorner and the proud stumble by them.

Accustom not thy mouth to swearing.

Neither use thyself to the naming of the Holy One.

For as a servant that is continually beaten shall not be without bruises, so he that sweareth and nameth God continually, shall not be innocent.

A man that sweareth much shall be filled with iniquity, and the scourge shall not depart from his house.

If he make a vain oath, he is sinful; and if he disregard it, his sin is doubled.

There is a word that is clothed about with death; God grant that it be not found in the heritage of Jacob.

For all these things shall be far from the godly, and they shall not wallow in sins.

Accustom not thy mouth to vile speech, for in that there is no small sin.

Remember thy father and thy mother when thou sittest among great men.

For every bread is sweet to a fornicator, and he will not cease till he die.

A man that breaketh covenant, saying in his heart, Who seeth me?

Darkness compasseth me about, and walls cover me, and no one seeth me, what need I to fear? the Most High will not remember my sins.

And he feareth only the eyes of men.

For before he was created, He knew all things; and so after he was gone.

This man shall be punished in the streets of the city, and where he suspecteth not, he shall be apprehended.

And he shall be put to shame before all, because he understood not the fear of the Lord.

Even so a woman also that leaveth her husband, and bringeth forth an heir of a stranger.

For first, she hath disobeyed the law of the Most High; and secondly, she hath trespassed against her husband; and thirdly, she hath committed fornication, and brought forth children of a strange man.

She shall be brought forth into the congregation, and inquiry shall be made of her children.

Her children shall not take root, and her branches shall not bear fruit.

She shall leave her memory to be accursed, and her reproach shall not be blotted out.

And they that remain shall know that nothing is better than the fear of the Lord, and nothing sweeter than to take heed unto the commandments of the Lord.

It is a great glory to follow the Lord, and in receiving Him, length of days.
