The Lord created man out of the earth, but Israel is the Lord's portion.
And unto it he returneth, for men cannot possess all things, because the son of man is not immortal.
He gave them a time and a number of days, and gave them authority over all things therein, and clothed them with strength according to their nature, and made them in His own image.
He laid his fear upon all flesh, and gave him dominion over the beasts and the fowls.
He created in him a helper matched to him, and gave them choices, and a tongue, and eyes, and ears, and a heart to think, and filled them with the knowledge of wisdom, and showed them good and evil.
And He set his eye upon their hearts, to show them the greatness of His works.
That they might praise His holy name, and declare the greatness of His works.
And He gave them more knowledge, and he bequeathed to them the law of life.
And he made an everlasting covenant with them, and showed them His judgments.
So their eyes saw the greatness of His glory, and their ears heard the glory of His voice, and He said to them, Beware of all unrighteousness.
And He commanded every one concerning his neighbor.
Their ways are before Him at all times; they are not hidden from His eyes.
He appointed a ruler for every nation.
All their works are as the sun before Him, and His eyes continually look upon their ways.
Their iniquities were not hidden from Him, but all their sins are before the Lord.
The man's alms are as a signet with Him, and He preserves the kindness of man as the apple of His eye.
And after that He will rise and recompense them; He will recompense them their reward upon their heads, and bring them down to the depths of the earth. But He made a way back for the penitent, and comforted the faint-hearted, and appointed for them the portion of righteousness.
Therefore turn to the Lord, and forsake sin.
Make supplication before His face, and diminish stumbling-blocks.
Return to the Most High, and turn away from iniquity, and hate abomination with the utmost hatred. For who shall praise the Most High in hell?
Learn the commandments of God and His judgments, and be steadfast in the lot of offering and prayer to the Most High.
Enter into the inheritance of the holy age with the living, who confess to the Lord.
Do not tarry in the error of hypocrites; confess before death, for confession is gone from the dead when he returns as nothing.
As long as you are alive and well, you praise the Lord and boast in His mercies.
How great is the mercy of the Lord, and His forgiveness, to those who turn to Him!
What is lighter than the sun? And this also is eclipsed. And the wicked man thinketh of flesh and blood.
The Lord inspects the hosts of the highest heaven, but all mankind are dust and ashes.
