Moses was beloved of God and men, whose memorial is blessed.

He made him glorious like the saints, and magnified him so that he was feared by his enemies; by his words he brought forth signs.

He glorified him before kings, commanded him concerning his people, and shewed him his glory. Therefore he gave him a covenant of peace; that he should be before his people in the holy places, and that he and his seed should have the greatness of the priesthood for ever.

He sanctified him by his faith and meekness, and chose him out of all men.

He made him hear his voice, and brought him into the cloud.

He gave him the commandments face to face, the law of life and knowledge, to teach Jacob the covenant, and Israel his judgments.

He exalted Aaron, the holy one, his brother, of the tribe of Levi.

He made him an everlasting covenant, and gave him the priesthood of the people; he made him joyful in glory.

And clothed him with a robe of glory; and put upon him the perfection of honour, and armed him with the instruments of strength.

The breeches, the long robe, and the ephod; and he made pomegranates of gold round about him, with many bells round about.

That their sound should be heard as he went, and that the tinkling might be heard in the temple, for a memorial to the children of his people.

And he gave him the holy garment of gold, and of blue, and of purple, of the work of a cunning embroiderer; and the breastplate of judgment, wherein were light and truth.

Its fabric was of twisted scarlet, the work of a skillful craftsman; and upon it were precious stones, like the engraving of a signet, set in gold, the work of a jewel engraver, engraved with the names of the tribes of Israel, for a memorial.

And upon the turban was a crown of gold, engraved with the title of holiness; and it was an ornament of glory, the work of skill, which the eyes delighted to behold for its beauty.

All these were of the utmost beauty, and there was nothing like them in their generation.

None wore them but those of his kindred, his sons and their descendants throughout all ages.

His sacrifices are burnt by fire, every day twice without ceasing.

Moses consecrated his hands and anointed him with the holy oil.

So it became an everlasting covenant for him and his seed, as long as the heavens endure, to serve the Lord, and to exercise the priesthood, and to bless his people in His name.

He chose him out of all the living, to offer the oblation of incense and a sweet savour for a memorial, and to make reconciliation for his people.

He set him over his commandments, and gave him authority over the covenants of the judgments, to teach Jacob the testimonies, and to enlighten Israel with his law.

The strangers gathered against him and envied him in the wilderness, the men of Dathan and Abiram, and the congregation of Korah with fierceness and wrath.

The Lord saw it, and was not pleased, and consumed them in the fierceness of his wrath.

He wrought wonders among them, and consumed them by the fire of his flame.

And increased Aaron's glory, and gave him an inheritance; he made them the firstfruits of the earth.

And prepared for them, before others, their fill of bread; for they eat of the sacrifices of the Lord, which he gave to him and to his posterity.

But he inherited not in the land of the people, neither had he any portion among them; for he is his portion and his inheritance.

And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, is the third in glory, for his zeal in the fear of the Lord.

And because he stood up when the people turned aside, with the righteousness of his soul's activity, and made atonement for Israel.

And he made a covenant with David the son of Jesse, of the tribe of Judah, for the inheritance of the kingship from son to son in his seed, like the inheritance for Aaron and his seed, to give you wisdom in your hearts, that you might judge his people with righteousness, so that their good things and their glory should not cease throughout their generations.
