Then shall thy shame be in its place, and thou shalt find favour before all men: but in these things be not ashamed, neither show partiality in them so as to err therein. I will remember the works of the Lord, and declare what I have seen. In the words of the Lord are His works; He searched the deep and the heart, and discerned all their craftiness.

The law of the Most High, and the covenant, and the judgment, so that the hypocrite is not acquitted, no thought escapes Him, neither is any word hidden from Him. And He hath adorned the greatness of His wisdom, and He is from everlasting to everlasting, and hath added nothing, neither hath He diminished; neither hath He any need of counsel. How delightful are all His works, and he who sees them is like a spark.

And a lawsuit with thy neighbor among strangers, and the division of inheritance among friends;

And a just balance and weight, and gain, whether much or little;

And moderation in selling among buyers, and strictness in disciplining sons, and beating a wicked servant until his back bleeds;

And setting a seal upon a wicked woman, imprison her.

And where there are many hands, lock fast; and when thou dividest, let it be by number and weight; and the giving and receiving, let everything be in a book.

And be not ashamed to instruct the ignorant and the foolish, and the old man who contends with young men; then shalt thou indeed be well-disciplined, and praised before every living soul.

A daughter is a secret anxiety to her father, and care takes away his sleep; anxiety about her when she is young, lest she should grow up unmarried; and presumption if she be married;

In her virginity, lest she should be defiled and become with child in her father’s house; and when she hath an husband, lest she should transgress against her husband, or be barren.

Keep a strict watch over a shameless daughter, lest she make thee a laughingstock to thine enemies, and a byword in the city, and a reproach among the people, and put thee to shame in the great assembly.

Gaze not upon any man's beauty, neither sit thou among women.

For from garments cometh forth a moth, and from a woman cometh forth wickedness.

A man that doeth evil is better than a woman that doeth good, and then bringeth forth shame and disgrace.

The eye of the shining sun beholds all things, and the work of the Lord is full of His glory.

Did not the Lord cause the holy ones to declare all His marvellous works, which the Almighty Lord established, that all creation might be confirmed in His glory?

The Lord knoweth all knowledge, and hath looked upon the sign of the age, declaring the past and the future, and revealing the traces of hidden things.

All these live and abide for ever for every benefit, and all obey Him.

Everything is two, one over against the other, and He hath made nothing deficient.

But one supports the virtues of the other; who then can be satisfied with gazing upon His glory?
