For merchandise many do sin; and he that seeketh to get wealth will turn his eye against his brother.

If thou followest justice, thou shalt obtain it, and put it on as a glorious robe, and dwell with it forever: and in the day of visitation thou shalt find a strong stay.

Birds will resort unto their like; so will truth return unto them that practise in it.

A lion's lurking for prey; so do sins lurk for them that work iniquity.

The discourse of a godly man is always with wisdom; but a fool changeth as the moon.

Among the unwise, observe the occasion; but among the discerning, be continually present.

The discourse of fools is odious, and their laughter is in the delights of sin.

The conversation of the profane maketh the hair to stand up, and their striving stoppeth the ears.

The strife of the proud is shedding of blood, and their revilings are grievous to hear.

He that betrayeth secrets destroyeth credit, and shall not find a friend to his mind.

Love thy friend, and be faithful unto him.

But if thou bewrayest his secrets, follow no more after him.

For as a man that destroyeth his friendship is as one that is an enemy.

And as thou lettest thy neighbor go, so art thou like one that letteth a bird out of his hand, and thou canst not catch it again.

Seek him no more, for he is gone far off, and hath fled as a roe out of the snare.

For a wound may be bound up, and after reviling there may be reconcilement.

But he that betrayeth secrets, is past hope.

He that winketh with the eyes worketh evil things, and no man will shun him.
