Do no evil, so shall no evil overtake thee.

Seek not to be made a judge, lest thou be unable to extirpate injustice; for thou mayest be swayed by the countenance of the mighty, and lay a stumblingblock in the path of thy uprightness.

Offend not against the congregation of the city, nor cast thyself among the populace.

Return not unto sin a second time; for thou shalt not be justified concerning the first.

Be not faint-hearted in thy prayer.

And neglect not alms-giving.

Say not, God will look upon the multitude of my oblations; and when I offer them to the Most High, He will accept them.

Mock not any in the bitterness of his soul; for there is One that abaseth and exalteth.

Devise no lie against thy brother, nor forge it against thy friend.

Seek not to lie in any matter; for to be accustomed to lying is not for good.

Be not verbose in the assembly of the elders, nor repeat thy words in thy prayer.

Hate not laborious work, nor the husbandry which the Most High hath ordained.

Number not thyself among the multitude of sinners.

Remember that His wrath delayeth not.

Humble thy soul greatly; for the punishment of the hypocrite is fire and worms.

Exchange not a friend for any temporal thing, nor a faithful brother for gold of Ophir.

epart not from thy wife if she be wise and good; for her favour is above gold.

Let thy soul love the discreet servant, and deny him not his freedom.

Hast thou beasts? then look after them; and if they be profitable unto thee, keep them with thee.

Hast thou children? then instruct them, and bow down their neck from their youth.

Hast thou daughters? then keep their bodies unspotted, and let not thy countenance be too open towards them.

Marry thy daughter, and thou shalt have accomplished a great matter, and give her to a man of understanding.

Hast thou a wife after thy heart? then forsake her not. But as for her that is hateful, commit not thyself unto her.

Honour thy father with all thy heart, and forget not the pangs of thy mother.

Remember that through them thou wert born; and what recompence canst thou give them for that which they have done for thee?

Fear the Lord with all thy soul, and reverence His priests.

And give him his portion according as it is commanded, even the firstfruits for sins.

And the offering of the shoulders, and the sacrifice of sanctification, and the firstfruits of the holy things.

And stretch out thy hand unto the poor, that thy blessing may be perfected.

Be mindful of kindness to all the living, and withhold not thy kindness from the dead.

Shrink not from those that weep, and mourn with those that mourn.

Be not slow to visit the sick; for by such means shalt thou be beloved.
