O Lord Almighty, God of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and of their righteous seed.

Thou who hast made the heaven and the earth, with all their ornament.

Thou who hast bound the sea by the word of Thy command, and hast shut up the deep, and sealed it with Thy fearful and glorious Name.

From whom all things do tremble and quake before the face of Thy power.

For the majesty of Thy glory cannot be borne, and the wrath of Thy indignation against sinners cannot be endured.

But Thy merciful promise is unmeasurable and unsearchable.

For Thou art the Lord Most High, of great patience, and abundant in mercy, and repentest Thee of the evils of men. Thou, O Lord, according to the multitude of Thy goodness, hast promised repentance and forgiveness of sins to them that have sinned against Thee; and by the multitude of Thy mercies hast appointed repentance unto sinners for salvation.

For Thou, O Lord, God of the just, hast not appointed repentance for the just fathers, Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, who sinned not against Thee; but Thou hast appointed repentance for me, a sinner.

For I have sinned above the number of the sands of the sea. My iniquities are multiplied, O Lord, my iniquities are multiplied, and I am not worthy to look up and behold the height of heaven for the multitude of mine iniquities.

I am bowed down with many iron bands, that I cannot lift up my head for my sins. Neither have I any relief, for I have provoked Thy wrath and done evil before Thee, not doing Thy will, neither keeping Thy commandments, but setting up abominations and multiplying stumbling blocks.

And now I bow the knee of my heart, entreating Thy goodness.

I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned, and I acknowledge mine iniquities.

But I make supplication unto Thee, O Lord, forgive me, O Lord, forgive me, and destroy me not with mine iniquities, nor be angry with me forever, nor reserve evils for me, nor cast me into the lowest parts of the earth. For Thou art the God of them that repent.

And in me Thou wilt show Thy goodness, for Thou wilt save me, that am unworthy, according to Thy great mercy.

Therefore I will praise Thee continually all the days of my life. For all the powers of the heavens do praise Thee. And Thine is the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
