O blessed God, send down the grace of Your Holy Spirit upon me to strengthen me, that I may thoroughly understand the subject matter I am about to study, so that I may become a better person for the glory of Your holy Name, for the comfort of my family, and for the benefit of Your Church and Your people. Amen.

O my Jesus, the True Light, Who enlightens and purifies every person coming into the world, enlighten me (us) with the light of Your knowledge, that I (we) may behold Your unapproachable light; and guide my steps in the way of Your commandments, through the intercession of our Lady, the Theotokos Saint Mary, and all Your saints. Amen.
