Blessed art Thou, O Lord, Who hast nourished us from our youth, and dost bestow upon us Thy good things, and dost prepare food for all. For the eyes of all do wait upon Thee, and Thou givest them their meat in due season.

Thou openest Thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. To Thee be glory and praise and blessing and thanksgiving for all that Thou hast prepared for us of the food set upon this table, made ready for the nourishment of our bodies.

Make it a healing and strength for our physical life, and grant salvation, and grace, and blessing, and purity to all who partake thereof.

Lift up our minds unto Thee at all times, to seek our spiritual food which perishes not.

Grant us to labor for the food which endures unto everlasting life, and bestow upon us a portion in partaking of Thy heavenly banquet.

Grant us the bread of joy and the cup of salvation, and fill our hearts with gladness and delight.

Bestow upon us a tranquil and peaceful life, and happiness in the soul, and health in the body. Teach us to seek Thy pleasure in everything, so that whether we eat or drink or do anything, we may do it for the glory of Thy holy Name, for to Thee be glory unto the ages. Amen.
