O Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under the roof of my house, for I am a sinful man. But speak only a word, and my soul shall be healed. Say to my soul, 'Your sins are forgiven.'
I am barren and devoid of all goodness, and I have nothing save Your compassion, Your mercy, and Your love for mankind. And You descended from the heavens of Your incomprehensible glory to our lowliness, and were pleased to be born in a manger of cattle. Therefore, my Holy Savior, do not refuse to come to my humble and lowly soul, which awaits Your glorious presence.
You did not disdain to enter the leper's house to heal him; therefore, my God, permit me to enter my soul to purify it.
You did not forbid the sinful woman from kissing Your feet; therefore, deprive me not of drawing near to You to partake of Your pure Body and Your Most Holy Blood. Rather, let my communion be for partaking with You, for the eradication of all that is defiled, for the mortification of my vile passions, for working according to Your life-giving commandments, for the healing of my soul and body from all sin, for receiving Your gifts, for the indwelling of Your grace, for the descent of Your Spirit, for union with You, and for abiding in You, that I may live for the glory of Your holy Name. Amen.
