I thank Thy goodness, O Father, Lover of mankind, for Thou didst not desire my destruction. But rather Thou didst awaken me from my heedlessness and didst guide me unto Thy path. And Thou didst restore me from the valley of perdition unto the shelter of Thy secure fortress. Therefore, fill me with hope and faith.

I have come unto Thee, O Lord, as the sick unto the healing Physician, and as the hungry pauper unto the satisfying Food, and as the thirsty unto the springs of living waters, and as the poor unto the source of riches, and as the sinner unto the Savior, and as the dying unto the fount of life.

For Thou art my salvation, and my Physician, and my strength, and my comfort, and my blessedness, and in Thee is my rest.

Therefore, assist me and preserve me and hedge me about, and teach me to place all my will between Thy hands, that I may walk according to Thy will. Aid my weakness that I may stand firm and remain faithful unto Thee until the end.
